3     Word Bank:

Write descriptive sentences about the ocean in up and down patterns, like the waves of the ocean. Then add color and ocean animals creating an exciting colorful language and art experience.

Follow the pattern to describe sea animals. This could also be written as a riddle.

7            Postcards

You are having a wonderful warm ocean-side holiday in Hawaii or Mexico or Cuba. Write a postcard to a friend back home, telling what your holiday is like.

Write a 5 line poem about the ocean or your favourite ocean creature.

Line 1: Title - 1 noun

Line 2: Description – 2 adjectives

Line 4: Feeling – 4 word phrase

Line 5: Title synonym for the title

13  Choose One

List all the different ways that we can:

·         We use water.

·         We have fun in the water

·         Water can be dangerous

 

14  Write a “5W” Poem  about something in the ocean.

Line 2: What happened)

Line 3: Where did it happen

Line 4: When did it happen

Line 5: Why did it happen

17 Raft Recipe  

Write a recipe that explains how to build a raft.  

Don’t forget any of the steps.

Add pictures to help someone understand better.

Write a recipe for building a “super boat”.

Write a DIAMONTE about the ocean.  The poem forms the shape of a diamond.
