Chapter 5
By
Kelsey, Stephanie, Samantha, and Jessica
An
angel shark came out of the sand. It has camouflage to hide from
predators. This time, its camouflage almost got it run over by a magic
school submarine. The sub was only damaged. The kids put on their wet
suits and swam out of the submarine. They hooked their cables to the
sub. Others helped Ms. Frizzle fix the motor. All of a sudden a Goblin
shark bit through Arnold’s cable. He started to drift away from the
sub. The kids reeled in Arnold and he was safe again. Mr. Hill told
everyone that you don’t see goblin sharks that often practically never
and everyone felt very lucky to have seen it. The kids and Ms. Frizzle
and Mr. Hill continued on their trip.

Chapter 6
By
Ethan, Alex, Brittany, Logan
Inside
the bus-sub, the kids put their diving gear away. Ms. Frizzle brought
the sub up to the right speed. Then we came to the surface. First,
they saw a pod of dolphins and then they saw a hammerhead shark. Mr.
Hill told them they should keep their distance, because hammerhead
sharks will sometimes attack when disturbed. The kids talked a lot
about baby and adult sharks. They saw some more dolphins and they
learned that sometimes dolphins could actually hurt or kill a shark.
They gather in a group and will sometimes ram their strong snouts into
a shark. Then they saw a school of blue sharks, which are game fish.
