I’ve
been wearing my dress for four days. My gloves are gray instead of
white. My hair is a mess. Even though I was a mess I still feel like a
princess because I’m the only girl on the ship.
The ship was moving
slow, but I knew it would go faster, as soon as the wind came.
Today,
Captain Jaggery did something unexpected in my case. He took my hand
and kissed it. (I blushed) He wished that we would have more
conversations during my trip. I was finally led to my trunk to get
some fresh clothes. When I went to get my trunk at the bottom of the
ship, the place stunk like rot. It was disgusting. I was surprised to
find out there was a jail on the ship. The crewmember told me there
were rats and roaches down there. I don’t like rats or roaches. They
disgust me.
I finally found my
trunk with clothes inside it, wrapped in tissue paper. I talked to Mr.
Barlow a little before he left me in there to get my clothes. Now I
know where my clothes are I can get the clothes all by myself.
I
was sort of scared when Mr. Barlow left because I thought someone was
watching me. I didn’t want to be alone down there. Shivers were
creeping up my arms. I looked left and right but I saw nothing. I
looked behind me. I saw a head with eyes. I was so scared I screamed.
The next thing I knew the candle was out.
